THE ADOPTION PROCESS
If you have looked through the photos of our dogs on the adoptions page and have found one that you might consider
giving a happy home to then please visit our shelter to meet your prospective new friend. The shelter is open Monday
to Saturday 12pm to 4pm (except bank holidays). As some of these dogs have had such a sad start in life we, at Friends
of Animals, feel that they deserve lots of love and hope that you intend your new dog to become part of your family,
interacting with family members and spending as much time with people as possible. Different dogs require different
levels of need and we like to ensure that you have the time, ability and facilities to give the dog what they require
e.g. an enclosed, safe garden. We would also recommend that the dog gets spayed or neutered if not already done
so. If all goes well and you and your dog have discovered a mutual fondness for each other then you can take your dog
home with you. There is a €70 adoption fee which includes up to date vaccinations and worming.
